Yoga is a science of health. Hatha yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas or postures),breathing control and relaxation techniques. Sequences of asanas are designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones. The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body—especially the main channel, the spine—so that energy can flow freely and ensure a balanced mind, body and spirit. Moving with steadiness and ease your breath acts as the bridge between body and mind, ultimately stilling the mind. When we learn to manage our minds we let go of our perceptions of the world and ourselves.
