Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani teenager, survived a Taliban shot through the head to give the children of the world this message:
“My message to children all around the world is that they should stand up for their rights.”
She is the youngest Nobel prize winner and an inspiration to all. The nobel committee said: Malala Yousafzai has already fought for several years for the right of girls to education, and has shown by example that children and young people, too, can contribute to improving their own situations.
She has been in dangerous circumstances. Through her heroic struggle she has become a leading spokesperson for girls’ rights to education.”
May we trust our personal power and find the courage to stand up for what we believe in.
