Tao Porchon-Lynch

“There is no such thing as ‘age.’ Tune into the power of the eternal, and feel the beauty of life. Nothing is impossible. Yoga revitalizes us with every breath we take.” This is what 95 year old, Tao Porchon-Lynch believes. What an inspiration!!

Tao was born on August the 13th, 1918. She is a French-Indian yogi, dancer, oenophilist, former model, and former actress. Born in India, Tao Porchon-Lynch was attracted to yoga since the young age of 8. Her love for ballroom dancing also keeps her going at this ripe age. She is a competitive ballroom dancer even though she only started learning dancing at the age of 84.

According to Tao the first step to harnessing one’s optimal energy is learning how to breathe properly. “Breathing deeply is not just a physical act but a tuning into the power behind all things which can renew and recycle our bodies.’

She makes me smile and realise that we limit ourselves by our thoughts. The world will always reflect your thoughts. Every day she believes and expects the best and never gives in to fear. What a wonderful soul! The light we see in her, actually resides within ourselves. We can be so much more than we believe we are.

Keep dancing and believe that everything is possible!
